Delaware Wedding!

This weekend was a very special weekend.  My very dear friend Ashlee, got married!!

Ashlee and I have been very close friends for about 11 years.  We've gone through so much, and have had so much fun along the way.

I'm so happy to have been a part of her special day.  It was absolutely gorgeous!

Love that the bottle of Corona made its way into this photo
The beautiful bride.  I love you so much Ashlee!
This was Valentina, on our way to Delaware
Me trying to keep my game face on!

I was very eager to do Melissa's makeup; she's a tough one because she's so picky!  So I was very excited to test out my skills.
Makeup on Melissa and myself done by yours truly ;)
I was so happy with the final results.  Melissa's makeup was perfect!  Different lighting brought out different shades of purpley blue- which went perfectly well with the Peacock themed wedding!

I just wish I could have captured what I saw in person.
Melissa's eye makeup looked stunning!
Although the makeup looks great in pictures, it does no justice for what could be seen in person.
I added some individual lashes on the top corner of the eyes to create a little more drama
Friday I leave for Mexico!  Can't wait to get a tan and get away!!

FOTD: Blue and Gold (Evil Eye)

I'm very much into spirituality stuff such as chakras, yoga, etc.  There's just something about feeling good on the inside that makes me want to take care of myself on the outside :)

For as long as I can remember, I have been really into all things Evil Eye or Hamsa (the hand of Fatima).

Found this photo through Google Images.  Click here for more detail

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Evil Eye (mal occhio in Italian) jewelry is very popular in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures.  It is believed that these amulets will ward off the negative energy given off by jealous people .

The Hamsa, or Hand of Fatima, is believed to protect women from the evil eye, boost fertility and lactation, promote healthy pregnancies, and strengthen the weak.

According to this excerpt from Discovery.com, we wear Evil Eye stuff every day!

Eye make-up
Indian women drew black lines around their eyes not only to shield themselves from the Evil Eye, but also to ensure that they didn't accidentally inflict the Evil Eye on their friends.

Well, enough of my blathering and on to my look!

This look started when I was surfing the web for some awesome tattoo ideas.  Later that day I came up with this look and had no name for it.  Once I saw the pics, I instantly thought Evil Eye!  (Ok...maybe more like "crazy eye" thanks to my contacts...)
