Electronic Butterfly

As promised, here is a look that I wore out during Miami Music Week that I really had fun doing.

I decided to call this one "Electronic Butterfly" because the type of music was Electro, the lashes were so long and the look was so colorful that it reminded me of a butterfly!

March Favorites

Hello sweeties!

It’s that time again!
Here are some of my favorites for the month of March:

I am absolutely enamored with the Model Mirror by Les Tai Tai.
I recently purchased mine in “Lush Leopard” since I have an affinity for leopard print.

Each Model Mirror comes in a velvet pouch, and are available in numerous colors/designs.
What sets the Model Mirror apart from any other mirror is that it has LED lighting, and a normal and magnifying mirror.
Notice how I said LED lighting and not light? That’s because there are eight total little LED lights that shine through. It reminds me of lighting you would find on a backstage makeup vanity!
This hot little mirror is a life saver at night, and the size is great for seeing your whole face (not just a tiny sliver) when touching up your makeup.

Peek-a-boo!
I love it so much that I actually use this to apply my makeup in the morning.
It came in so handy on my recent Miami trip because it’s excellent for night time and night clubs!
Everyone who has checked out my mirror (even the guys), have all agreed that it’s pretty awesome.
I can’t imagine a day without it!

You can buy yours for $25/£19 at LesTaiTai.com or by clicking here

Getting Ready for St. Patrick's Day with La Mer!

Good day lovelies!
This Saturday was the annual Leprechaun Day in Hoboken, NJ.  However, I did not attend.
I did put on some festive gear and makeup, just to keep the spirit of it all.
Lately, I've been going for a more natural look.  Most likely because the sun has been out, and I don't like using a lot of makeup in the spring and summer.

Side note: Can I just share an AMAZING line of products with you??

Champagne Toast: Neutral Colors

Hello Sweeties!

I've been a little under the weather and blue.  Going through some personal life issues... but I'm back!

Lately I've been very much into Celine Dion, Lancome, and baguettes.  Don't judge me.

So naturally, I wanted to do a look inspired by champagne (with a little kiss of strawberry)?  Yes, in my head it makes perfect sense.

A lovely subscriber requested a neutral look, so I kept that in mind when doing this, but have no fear, I have another one coming.  My next neutral look will be a little softer on the liner, and matte.

The pop of coral pink lipstick and touch of gold shimmer makes this look fun and spunky, while browns and nudes keep it from being over the top.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Duochrome Lovin'

The past week I have been all about duo-chrome colors.  Even my nails were duo-chrome.

The only problem is trying to capture a picture of it's awesomeness!

For some reason, wearing my glasses helped capture the colors a little better...must be something about the lighting and reflection?

Gothic Valentine's Day Look: Black Rose

Happy Friday!!!  Ohhh TGI effin F!!

Since Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, I wanted to post a look for the occasion.

This look is very different than the typical sweet and girly look (which I still love-thank you very much).

I wanted to put a darker, almost Tim Burton-like twist on a Valentine’s Day look.  So I did just that, and called it “Black Rose”.  However, I can’t take the credit for that name.  My roommates friend came over and took one look at me and said “woa” (he couldn’t understand why I was decked out at 9 o’clock on a Thursday night) when I explained what I was doing he said “oh, I get it.  Like a black rose.”  Genius! Yes!  Like a black rose!  See, who said men are completely useless?! Hehe

I must admit, I’m letting my brows grow in a tad before getting them threaded next week, hence why there are as woofin as they are.  Pardonne moi!

Without further ado, here’s the look:

Eyes:
[NYX] Jumbo eye pencil in Milk (all over eye are)
[MAC] Carbon (outer half of eye)
[MAC] Cranberry (inner half of eye)
[BH] 120 Palette
[Stila] Stay All Day waterproof liquid liner in Carbon Black
[Smashbox] eye liner pencil in Onyx
[NYX] lashes- forgot the style number :/

Face:
[MAC] Cranberry (lightly dusted on cheeks)
[Sheer Cover] Plum Perfect blush
[Too Faced] Candlelight

Lips:
[Lime Crime] Carousel gloss in Kaleidoscope

Requested Look: Kris Jenner Eyes

Good day lovely's!

My dear friend had the strangest request for a look that she wanted me to do...Kris Jenner?  Yes, the lovely mother of the ever so famous Kardashian crew!

At first I thought, this look was going to be all about the black eye shadow; then I realized a) its a combo of several colors: black, gray, brown, and whatever highlighter for the day, and b) the lashes are really a main contributor in this look!

I won't go into extreme detail with this because it was pretty easy.  However, if you would like to know what products I used, leave a comment below and I will gladly fill you in :)

Dolly Wink lashes

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

Happy Hump Day!

FOTD: Raging Violet

I've been kind of obsessed with purple lately.  I think it's a great color for every skin tone, and if you have brown eyes like me, purple definitely brings them out.

I never thought I'd look good with such a bright purple lipstick like D'Lilac, but what a pleasant surprise!

I've also been playing around with my eyebrow shape lately, I've been trying to grow them so that they're thicker.  I recently purchased new eyebrow products and so far I am happy.  However, they are still a work in progress.

Eyes:
[NARS] Strada
[Lime Crime] Twilight
[Lime Crime] Medusa (outer v)
[Lime Crime] Mirror Mirror
[Dolly Wink] eyelashes in Dolly Sweet
[Dior] Brow Pencil
[Anastasia] Brow Gel in Espresso
[Stila] Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Carbon Black
[Fiberwig] Mascara

Face:
[Sheer Cover] Plum Perfect blush
[Too Faced] Pink Leopard
[Too Faced] Candlelight

[Lime Crime] D'Lilac
[MAC] Vacant Lipglass {LE}

Sunday's LOTD: Adele Inspired

First of all, how gorgeous is she?!  I first fell in love with her music when I heard "Chasing Pavements", then I saw her face and was blown away.  So stunning.

I wanted to re-create the look from "Someone Like You", but a warmer version instead.

Eyes:
[Lime Crime] Candy Eyed Eye shadow Helper
[Lorac] Shimmery pinky gold eye shadow in Moonstone- Crock Palette
[Lorac] Suede- Croc Palette
[Lorac] Shimmery brown in Serenity- Croc Palette
[M.A.C.] Vanilla pigment
[M.A.C] white eyeliner in Fascinating
[Lorac] shimmery creamy pearl in Enlighten - Color Me Couture Palette  (over eyeliner)
[Stila] Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Carbon Black
[Fiberwig] Mascara
[Ardell] Lashes

Face:
[NARS] Orgasm
[NARS] Laguna (contouring)
[Too Faced] bronzer in Pink Leopard

Lips:
[NARS] lipstick in Promiscuous

I also made cookie monster themed nails (I love Cookies and Cookie Monster!)

I got this idea from NiceLucy11 on YouTube.  Click here to check out the video.

Considering that I could not find my dark brown polish and had to make my own (using brown eye shadow and clear polish), and that I do not have a dotting tool, I must say that I am satisfied with the turn out.

Until next time!
