Gothic Valentine's Day Look: Black Rose

Happy Friday!!!  Ohhh TGI effin F!!

Since Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, I wanted to post a look for the occasion.

This look is very different than the typical sweet and girly look (which I still love-thank you very much).

I wanted to put a darker, almost Tim Burton-like twist on a Valentine’s Day look.  So I did just that, and called it “Black Rose”.  However, I can’t take the credit for that name.  My roommates friend came over and took one look at me and said “woa” (he couldn’t understand why I was decked out at 9 o’clock on a Thursday night) when I explained what I was doing he said “oh, I get it.  Like a black rose.”  Genius! Yes!  Like a black rose!  See, who said men are completely useless?! Hehe

I must admit, I’m letting my brows grow in a tad before getting them threaded next week, hence why there are as woofin as they are.  Pardonne moi!

Without further ado, here’s the look:

Arabic Makeup

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all having a happy Monday- because Monday's usually suck!

I wanted to do an Arabic makeup look because I find that the women are super gorgeous and have the best shaped eyes!   I love how there makeup is usually a mix of bold color and dark liner.  There's something very sexy about it.

Now, on to the look....

I used a mixing medium for this look.  To find out how to make your own mixing medium, click here

Cirque Du Stephie

Just as I was about to wipe off all my makeup, I decided to play around with colors, and came up with this!

I had no clue what to call it, but all I kept hearing in my head was circus music.  Not the new age kind of circus, but the old school dark kind of circus.  The ones with traveling gypsies and Elephant Man's and Siamese Twins...that's the vibe I'm flowing with- you with me?

I really loved playing around with this look.  I especially loved mixing colors you wouldn't normally mix together, like on my lips for example: Lime Crime's carousel glosses in Golden Ticket (on the outer part) and Kaleidoscopic (middle).  I loved it!

Here's a close up of the Lime Crime carousel glosses combo.  So kick ass!
