FOTD: Blue and Gold (Evil Eye)

I'm very much into spirituality stuff such as chakras, yoga, etc.  There's just something about feeling good on the inside that makes me want to take care of myself on the outside :)

For as long as I can remember, I have been really into all things Evil Eye or Hamsa (the hand of Fatima).

Found this photo through Google Images.  Click here for more detail

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Evil Eye (mal occhio in Italian) jewelry is very popular in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures.  It is believed that these amulets will ward off the negative energy given off by jealous people .

The Hamsa, or Hand of Fatima, is believed to protect women from the evil eye, boost fertility and lactation, promote healthy pregnancies, and strengthen the weak.

According to this excerpt from Discovery.com, we wear Evil Eye stuff every day!

Eye make-up
Indian women drew black lines around their eyes not only to shield themselves from the Evil Eye, but also to ensure that they didn't accidentally inflict the Evil Eye on their friends.

Well, enough of my blathering and on to my look!

This look started when I was surfing the web for some awesome tattoo ideas.  Later that day I came up with this look and had no name for it.  Once I saw the pics, I instantly thought Evil Eye!  (Ok...maybe more like "crazy eye" thanks to my contacts...)
